My name is Alex.
At the age of 20, I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Since then, my life has been a journey of learning how to care for myself and improve my quality of life with patience and compassion.
During the pandemic, with the support of my family, I learned how to knit.
That moment changed everything.
Through knitting, I discovered the world of amigurumis and it stayed with me for life.
Knitting became a bridge between many forms of art I love, such as drawing and watercolor.
These disciplines naturally complement one another and come together in each of my creations.
Today, knitting helps me feel calm, present, and joyful.
It connects me to the world and my greatest inspiration comes from my little nephews, whose innocence and imagination guide my work every day.
